Tour Plan

Day 01 Arrival – NJP/Bagdogra to Darjeeling via Mirik (110 km | 5 hrs)

Welcome to the gateway of the Eastern Himalayas! Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), meet our representative and begin your scenic drive to Darjeeling. En route, pause at the peaceful Mirik Lake, surrounded by pine forests and ideal for a leisurely walk or boating. Continue your drive through lush tea gardens and mist-kissed hills. Arrive in Darjeeling by evening, the "Queen of the Hills," once the summer capital of British India. Take a relaxed evening walk around Chowrasta Mall to soak in the cool breeze and local culture.

Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 02 Darjeeling Sightseeing – Sunrise at Tiger Hill & Cultural Circuit

Wake before dawn for a magical excursion to Tiger Hill (2,590 m), where the golden sunrise casts a mystical glow over the third-highest peak in the world – Mt. Kanchenjunga. On the return, stop by the serene Ghoom Monastery, home to a 15-foot-high statue of the Maitreya Buddha, and the Batasia Loop, a spiral railway track surrounded by manicured gardens and the War Memorial.

After breakfast, continue your sightseeing with visits to:

  • Japanese Peace Pagoda – for panoramic views and Zen-like calm
  • Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park – spot the elusive red panda and learn about Everest expeditions
  • Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center – watch artisans at work
  • Rock Garden & Ganga Maya Park – scenic terraced gardens with waterfalls
  • Evening at leisure to explore The Mall (Chowrasta) and shop for woollens, teas, and handicrafts.
  • Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 03 Darjeeling to Gangtok (100 km | 4.5–5 hrs)

After breakfast, begin your picturesque journey to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, nestled at an altitude of 1,650 meters. En route, admire changing landscapes from lush valleys to winding hill roads. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, stroll through MG Road, Gangtok’s vibrant pedestrian boulevard filled with cafés, shops, and music.

Day 04 Full-Day Gangtok City Sightseeing
  • Post breakfast, dive into a spiritual and cultural tour of Gangtok.
  • Do Drul Chorten Stupa – adorned with prayer wheels and relics
  • Namgyal Institute of Tibetology – showcasing rare manuscripts, thangkas, and relics
  • Enchey Monastery – a peaceful 200-year-old gompa with ornate murals
  • Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom – traditional Sikkimese art
  • Flower Exhibition Centre – vivid orchids and seasonal blooms
  • Ganesh Tok & Hanuman Tok – for serene hilltop views and devotion
  • Tashi View Point – perfect for panoramic Himalayan vistas
  • Banjhakri Waterfalls – a hidden natural gem flanked by tribal folklore statues
  • Evening free to explore MG Road’s cafés or visit a local discotheque.

Day 05 Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (12400 ft)
  • After breakfast, embark on a mesmerizing journey to high-altitude marvels:
  • Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake) – a glacial lake nestled at 3,780 m, often frozen and surrounded by snow. Spot Brahminy ducks, yaks, and prayer flags fluttering in the icy breeze.
  • Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir – a shrine dedicated to an Indian Army soldier, revered as a folk hero who continues to protect soldiers from beyond.
  • Optional (weather & permit permitting): Continue to Nathula Pass, a historic Indo-China border post, once part of the Silk Route.
  • Return to Gangtok by evening. Relax or shop for souvenirs.
  • Overnight stay in Gangtok.
  • Note: Nathula Pass visit is subject to availability and requires prior permit.
Day 06 : Departure – Gangtok to NJP/Bagdogra (135 km | 4.5–5 hrs)

After a relaxed breakfast, check out and proceed toward NJP/Bagdogra. Bid farewell to the misty mountains, serene monasteries, and unforgettable memories as your journey concludes.
