Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading to the majestic Amber Fort, perched on a hilltop. Choose between a royal elephant ride or a jeep ride to the entrance and explore Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Diwan-e-Aam, and the ramparts offering stunning views. Return to the city to visit the City Palace, a lavish complex blending Rajput and Mughal styles, with museums showcasing royal costumes, armory, and art. Next, stand before the Hawa Mahal, or "Palace of Winds," with its 953 latticed windows, and then marvel at the Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO-listed astronomical observatory. Conclude your day with a photo stop at Jal Mahal, a water palace floating in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Bikaner (approx. 330 km / 6–7 hrs), a desert city steeped in history and camel trade legacy. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, explore the grand Junagarh Fort, a rare fort not built on a hill, with a series of richly decorated palaces, including Anup Mahal and Phool Mahal. Later, visit Lalgarh Palace, an Indo-Saracenic marvel now part heritage hotel and museum. You may also stop by the National Research Centre on Camel, an unusual and fascinating site dedicated to camel breeding. Evening free to wander the local market for snacks like Bikaneri bhujia and traditional handicrafts. Overnight stay in Bikaner.
Post breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer (approx. 330 km / 5–6 hrs), the Golden City that rises like a mirage from the Thar Desert. En route, witness the ever-changing desert terrain. Visit the exquisitely carved Patwon Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli, and Nathmal Ki Haveli, reflecting opulent merchant lifestyles. In the afternoon, drive to Sam Sand Dunes for an unforgettable camel safari. As the sun dips below the horizon, witness a magical cultural performance with traditional folk dances, music, and local cuisine around a bonfire under the desert sky. Overnight stay in a desert camp or hotel in Jaisalmer.
After breakfast, journey towards Jodhpur (approx. 280 km / 4–5 hrs), known for its blue-washed old town and formidable hilltop fort. Check into your hotel upon arrival. Amazing experience of the Taj Mahal - The views were amazing even though we were disappointed that it was cloudy so we couldn’t view the sunset or the sunrise so maybe check your weather report before you... read more book. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took the best pictures. My husband and I were very happy we booked the tour and would definitely recommend to others . Best way to see and learn about the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj. However, be careful with the photographers in the Taj. The pictures taken of us were bad and we had to part with a 100USD. Other than this than left a sour taste, the tour itself and guide were first class ! Ek Number !
